ARRA historian Bill Skinner just recently submitted yet another different look at a portion of Frankie Schneider’s legendary racing career.  Back when the sport was young and just finding its way into the hearts of those looking for racing excitement, Frankie was there forging his career that turned into one of the greatest in the Northeast!  Known as “The Old Master”, Schneider plied his trade up and down the East Coast….almost racing nightly!  Take a look back at those early days from the perspective of Frankie’s racing schedule in his barnstorming days…….known as Frankie Schneider – ROAD WARRIOR!

wow. Great information. Bill does a great job. As one can see Frankie did a lot of racing in Maryland in the early ‘50’s. He won the first race I ever attended in 1952 at Westport Stadium in Baltimore.

Several years ago I travelled to a South Hersey Reunion to meet Frankie. I took a bunch of newspaper clippings from Baltimore papers covering his Md. wins. He talked to me like. We were old friends. Ralph Richards took a picture of me and Frankie and put it in Area Auto Racing News. The last time I talked to him was at a vintage event at Darlintin. He was in his way home from Florida. What a gentlemen.
