Saw in last week's AARN that the Holsten Racing Team #96 and driver Billy Pauch will be running at Bridgeport in 2022.  Also mentioned that Jimmy Blewett and Gary Bouc will also be racing at Bridgeport.

I've had many enjoyable nights at New Egypt Speedway and hope to have more, but I've had more than a few folks tell me that they hadn't been back to New Egypt, and weren't planning on going back to New Egypt after as they put it, "What they did to Pauch Jr", referring to the way a late season protest was handled, which resulted in the decision by New Egypt Speedway owner and/or management to DQ the #96 after a win, which resulted in a loss of winnings, and which took him out of the points Championship and the $'s that would have been part of the points payout.

Sure wish that whole deal had been handled differently.

I don't think Billy Pauch and Billy Pauch Jr like running at the same track in the same division weekly, so I'm wondering what Sr's plans are for 2022, and wondering what your plans (as a fan/other) are as well.....

Personnally, from everything I've read on Billy Jrs' disqualification, I think he got screwed big time.  New Egypt lost not only a great driving talent, but a fan favorite.  My 3 sons, none of which are race fans, took me to New Egypt the night Billy won his last race (at NES).  As Billy was walking past us, one of my boys congratulated him on his win.  Billy shook each of our hands and thanked us for coming out (to NES).  I also believe NES lost a great ambassador, not only for the sport but for NES as well.    I guess the only good thing is the NES point  championship should be a wild open battle this year with Billy Jr running at the Bridgeport and Mike Gular heading up to Orange Co.   As far as Pauch Sr, it appeared last year that his career was starting to wind down.  That being said, I don't think the Pauchs battling each other will be a family issue.  Besides, it may take the 2 of them to defeat Darth Vader in that 26 car (aka Ryan Godown).  Not a fan but have to admit he's a hellva "wheelman".  Scott Ely

Billy Jr. is a class act. I was impressed by him when he was just a dumb kid at NES 20 years ago. You can tell good parenting when you see it. We ran into BP Jr. at the World Finals last Fall and he gave my wife a big hug cuz she was wearing his sweatshirt. I jokingly asked him if he knew her ( I knew he didnt ) and he said no but shes wearing my shirt. He appreciates his fans

From what Billy Sr said in the 2021 recap video by Mandee. He stated he has a new car ready to run the full Season at the Port. Think Sr is also going to run the Speedsters again. This Season will attend Wall & Bridgeport mostly depending on weather. Doubt I will go any where else this Summer.

The closest I will be near NES will be crossing Rt 539 to continue on 537 for when I go to Wall. I will never forgive NES for what they pulled, it's about one of the dirtiest things I have ever seen a track pull on a race team. I have been a Sr fan since the 2nd lap he turned as a rookie at Flemington. Billy Jr is a different cat. Sr can be a bit gruff at times, but Jr always has a smile on his face and is at the ready to talk to you. Makes a person feel like he's known you forever. I have no idea why a track would not want an ambassador for the sport in their pits on a weekly basis. Bridgeport, 100 lappers at Wall, and some PA 410 shows but no NES for this racing season for this boy.
