Notice the D A oil decal on this car, and so many more of that era? I used D A oil for years and they would ship it direct to you in 10 case lots. I called to order oil and the salesman told me that they had just been bought out by some nut and bolt outfit. He took my order and a month or so later when I called to reorder, they were no longer in business. I'll never understand marketing....

Yes, The team car (8 ball) was driven by Tom Green. Dicks car was the (9 ball) Both were powered by 261 cu. in. Chevy engines.

  This 261 6 cylinder Chevy engine was available only in 2-ton (6000 or C60 series) trucks and school buses. During it's early years (1954-57) it was an extra cost option above the standard 235 six-cylinder.

The numbers of the Peak's Garage team cars. Was told many years ago that they were numbered after the cubic inches of each cars engine
