Those Superspeedway years, like 1975 to 1979, were terrible for the Mods.  All the money teams had speedway cars, full bodies, and all the small teams had Saturday night cars.  When they went to Trenton, Pocono, or Dover, that bad mix would show up.  The cars were super cool but the racing was pretty bad.

Kevin's comments about the mix of "high dollar" vs. "Saturday night" racers on big tracks, I can remember when Bobby Allison showed up at Trenton (year?) with a full bodied Camaro and was told he had to remove the front fenders and grill work if he wanted to compete.  Soon after that, Bobby put the Camaro on the trailer and headed back home.  Scott Ely
