IndyCars?_______________

XFinity at Fontana?___________________

Cup at Fontana?______________________

Other?___________________________

I enjoyed what I saw this weekend.

Indycars at St Petersburg - Penske's rookie driver from last year had himself quite a weekend.  Nice crowd.  Palou made it very interesting at the end.  I know it's not popular to question it, but I'm not sure where the Jimmie Johnson Indy Car experiment would be if it wasn't for strong backing from Carvana/others.

XFinity at Fontana:  Enjoyed the race, but big thanks to the DVR as it was a marathon deal, but I was able to fast forward through a lot of the down time.

Cup at Fontana:  Qualifying was pretty interesting as some of the heavy hitters spun trying to figure things out.  Good to see that they were taking it to the edge.  I enjoyed the race.  Very good crowd which I think is a statement that folks are actually interested in the sport, and are supporting the sport/venue, (maybe even a better barometer than the crowd that attended two most recent "events", The Clash, or The Daytona 500.)  They did mention that plans to re-develop Fontana to a smaller track are on hold now.  Not sure what that means for the future of the facility as far as racing goes, but a good crowd has to be a positive.

Thought the race was interesting.  No real domination by anybody once Tyler Reddick got a flat and was then was side swiped by Byron.  Speaking of flats, pretty ridiculous that they when a guy gets 2 flats and hits nothing... that the car then has to be taken to pit lane on a wrecker.  The whole time, pit lane has to be closed to the rest of the field as I'm sure they don't want a track wrecker crew unhooking a car on pit lane while it's open/active.

One good thing about the cars becoming undriveable once they get 2 flats is that maybe it has put an end to the stupid "burn it down" burn outs that I have to think a majority of fans don't really like to see.

Still having some wheel lug issues.  At least none came off this week while at speed.

Good to see Larson win.

Would have liked to have seen more than just the 1st and 4th place finishers interviewed after the race, but there is a lot going on in the world, so I understand why the fast cut away by Fox.

I watched the Cup series on Sunday.  Was a pretty good race.  Good to see Erik Jones and Daniel Swarez up front.  I have never been to a race at Fontana but I worked a show a few miles down the road a number of years ago, so I went over to see the track.  It is a beautiful facility with a beautiful backdrop.

Watch parts both Nascar races. Glad to see Cole Cluster win. It sounds like the team is on a tight budget.. Thought the race should of been called when Brandon Jones slamed into the sand barrels. With the late hour of the day the clean up took to long. On top of the fact the cars were running on the front strech. Cole was just at the start finish line. They could of thrown a checkered caution. Grandstand looked like it clear out at that point. Good to see Brandon was okay.

The Sunday race was not bad. Wish they interviewed Chase Elliott right after the race. It would of been great to get his comment on Kyle Larsen (his teamate) about the move to the outside. A few drivers seem to still like to shove the car in front out of the way, including the Deal Dash car.  Crowd looked good may have a lot to do with people finally getting back out after the lock downs. Las Vegas should have a decent crowd next weekend. They were advertising last week a big discount on Childrens tickets.

Watched quits bit of the Indycar race but missed the end. Pretty good racing. Don't watch NASCAR on purpose anymore, but the Xfinity race was on while we ate at Applebees, seemed the yellow was out most of the time.

Thoroughly enjoyed having Indycar back after their long offseason. Watched Friday practice and Sunday prerace warmup on Peacock, followed Indycar Timing and Scoring during Saturday's qualifying, and watched Sunday's race on NBC. Lots of stories within the series to follow this year with driver changes, engineer changes, new guns vs old guard, exciting group of rookies, Firestone changing up their red (softer, quicker) tire, etc. Less than three months until the 500!

Only caught the last few minutes of Sunday's NASCAR race. Too busy watching the Ukraine news and the Beard and the Process carrying the Sixers. What do you think, Rick?

Another really good Nascar race to watch.A lot of young talent coming up through the field. The next gen car was supposed to make it a more level playing field and its starting to pay dividends.Still has away to go with problems  with flat tires and supply chain issues.Crowds are really good but unfortunately Fox coverage isn't good.

watched xfinity on sat.--cup on sun.-

good , hard racing in both--

great to have NASCAR back for the season-

two things i took from the weekend--

you can really see now the  "changing of the guard" in cup racing---new kids are kicking some ass !!

also , appeared to me that the new gen  cup cars are more fragile than before -especially rear suspensions--

blessings to all my 3 wides family !!!

Xfinity race was too TOO long! Almost 3.5 hours is ridiculous for what's essentially a sprint race. IndyCar race was good but not great. Just under 2 hours is a homerun in my opinion. Cup race was very good. Many lanes to choose from. Cup announcing crew is awful. Show a little dignity guys

Regarding the flat tires; I wonder if given all of the technology in the new cars, and the low prfile of the tires they are using, they could devise some sort of internal suspension jacking that would raise the car to the maximum clearance so the cars could drive away rather than needing to get towed?   It would be something that would obviously not be an advantage to use during actual racing, but could minimize the need for wreckers to clear an otherwise minimally or undamaged car.  Just thinking outside the box I guess...

Being laid up after an ankle operation, I've found alot if spare time to really delve into FloSports. Watched both nights of the $25k to win, STSS race at Cherokee Speedway. 4-20 lap qualifying heats on Friday paying $1000 to win. Top 5 qualify, 3 to redraw. Races on Friday we're pretty much single file, lock down racing. I forgot to mention that Deyo stated awhile ago that there will be NO PROVISIONALS given for this race. After qualifying, some of the big names not qualified were Decker, Perrego, Gular, Mahaney, Britten.

Saturday had the consis and feature. There were a few other classes that I had no interest in. Track widened out a bit during consis, but when it was all said and done Gular, Britten and Mahaney were on the outside looking in. I was impressed that Deyo stuck to his word and granted no provisionals. I will attend every race that this man promotes, when possible, because you can trust what he says and doesn't water down the product he presents. He is the single reason that our NE modifieds popularity is in the rise.

Saturdays 50 lap feature started out as a big if a snoozer until Matt Sheppard went to the outside and everyone else followed to open up the outside. From that point on, the race was as exciting if a race as I've ever seen. Surprisingly enough, the #26 of Godown came out the winner with Wight and Pauch Jr. finishing out the podium.
