The features at Bridgeport are only 10 miles. Hard to believe thet need a break.

agreed    simply the most insane think i have ever heard in short track racing?  i would hope that Bridgeport re-thinks this. Possibly get imput from both drivers and fans before they go through with it? i would think it's safe to say most feedback has been negative?

I don't usuall reply much.  But come on.  Does anybody remember when cars didn't have power steering and you raced for God knows how many laps on a mile and a eight track without a break.  Now they want to have a break half way threw a feature on a 4/10 of a mile.

Amen Dan Mc...I had some of that manual steering stuff...In 1973//74 Les Farley built power steering on his modified coupe (cream and black roof #X). I drove it hot laps at Flem one night and it steered so easy that it had no feel but Les needed that easy because he already had one heart attack and doctors orders were to take it easy so he did...Drivers today need to rest I guess instead of going to gym or just working out..We raced 3 nights a week so we stayed in shape plus working on the car...HtH

Dan McMahon, you were always one of my favorite drivers when you raced in the Volkswagon Sprint class. I met you in the pits at the old Seaford Speedway, had to be in the 90's before it was reconfigured. I took a ride with you in your truck over to US13 to get fuel for all of the micro sprints, since they did not have fuel avail at Seaford. Russ Currie

Russ; Wow.  You have a good memory.  I had alot of fun at Seaford and with the VW. Sprints.  After retiring from racing I ended up building a street legal VW powered Sand Rail.  Full circle I guess. Take care
