Does anyone have any idea how many wins he has as a crew chief? I never met him, but have the utmost respect for him. |

I seen estimates of his win total: crew chief, engine builder, and car builder over 1200. And that was a few years ago. |

I believe alot of Tobys Modified wins had Davey working on his cars..I remember the Anthonys Furniture little Mustang Toby won alot with had Davey in some pics.. Previously driven by Donnie Varner..was around 1974/75...I was at Reading for a couple races...was some of the reason I built a mustang body..HtH |

At 80 something years old Davey is still very sharp and it sure is fun to watch their car run when it's right (which is most of the time ) |

I believe Davy's 1st win was at Hatfield speedway in 1953 and he alot of wins with Bobby gerhardt in the consoli 54 |

Such an incredible man in dirt racing history. He also seems so humble and unassuming. He'd be a great subject for a book.

Doug Wolfgang speaks very highly of Brown in his book “Lone Wolf”. A book about this great man is long overdue. |
