The Sonny Dornberger post made me think of an idea.

I would like to go to the NASCAR Hall of Fame someday, it is on my to-do list.  One of the things that seems really cool about their display is the track segment with the lineup of NASCAR cars of the past.

Given how many tribute cars are out there now I could imagine a similar display with the amazing tribute cars. While some may not have raced in the same time period, it still would be cool to have them all sitting in one place - on display.  It could even have some of the Asphalt DA style cars

So far off the top of my head, and not thinking too hard, I can think of these cars that I have seen here and there.

Dornberger #99
Schneiders King Car #2
Howie's #9C
Batmobile #112
Weld Car #29
Evernham #2P
Liss #10
The "PB" Car
Illemini's #67
Kevin Collins Gremlin #12
Taz Coach #44
Pauch's #15 Tribute
The Ken Johnson #64
Karl Fryer Tribute #4
The Ploski Tribute #24 Brenn Coupe
"THE" 292

This might actually be a cool vault section - collecting images of all the cars that are out there.
I am pretty sure that I have shots of well over half of these and there are plenty more out not on my makeshift list.

What other ones have I missed?

I should add that there is a vintage section already, didn't mean to imply something was missing.  More to the notion that it would be cool to figure out some way to depict all the cars grouped together in some way by their genre.

In a perfect world we could have a car show with all of them collected in one place.  How cool would that be?

Just to add the 301 & #74 that Braxton drove should be at the show. Some also did a Statewide 3 on here not to long ago.  Be pretty cool to see all these cars in place.  A parade at track like New Egypt or Bridgeport where all the cars take a few pace laps around the track.

I wanted to try and organize a travling band of gypsyies of a dozen cars to travel to race tracks. We'd bring the cars to your track on a given night and You have a legends night.I wanted running cars that could possibly pace the feature race. I didn't get a lot of interest in it. Too much like a job most said. It is a lot of work. I enjoy what Middletown did on Nostalgia night where Gary Balough, Will Cagle, Anthony Ferraiuolo, and Buzzie did one night. On another night the Statewide #3 was there too.

Going over the "Hall of Fame" posts, I didn't see any mention of Wally Mark's #1 Gremlin, which I believe was restored by the late Ray Neary.  For me, hot rods that are the original deal, or exact replicas would fit this hall of fame category.  There are replicas out there that represent the racing period but not the original car they are painted like.  Don't get me wrong, any old coupe, sedan, Gremlin, Falcon, etc., restored or replicated, are cool.  But there's nothing like the original.  Scott Ely

Many of you forget about real iconic racecars, like Geoff Bodines Plymouth valiant.Don Krietz valiant which I believe was sold to Fred Orchad. If one was to travel to up state NY to Weed sport you, will see Jack Johnson's DA modified,Harry Peeks 27 gremlin,Bill Brooking's 43.This car has the Petty blue color on it .The story on this is when NASCAR did it's northern swing Bill woud let Richard use his shop and became good friends. There are so many cars out there the list would go on forever.

The Jim Carter built "Flying Cockroach", originally the #44 driven by Bentley Warren and later the Stars and Stripes S/360 driven by Don Diffendorf at Syracuse and elsewhere.  Original car now restored and in Bentley's museum in Maine.
