It's that time of the year and it's already Tuesday p.m. so I thought I'd start w/ a quick review. Went to Bridgeport Sat. as a fan in the stands. B+.  Likes. Great to see and be with some racing friends. Show started on time (5 pm warm ups) and moved along nicely (short intermission)--out of there about 9. Track in pretty good, but not excellent, shape. Lots of passing and nice field of modifieds. Ran the sportsman last so left "early" on a rather chilly night. Dislikes--thought/hoped there'd be some invaders (to beat the Pauches) after Grandview and OCFS rained out. 4 cylinders running a heat AND a feature with less than 10 cars on a damp night (less is more--not sure they need to be there on any Sat. night in my view). Overall, a fun night, good racing and home a little after 10 to learn that the Phillies won.

Yes, Joe, I forgot. I will go back w/in the next month because the Super DIRT feature (can easily skip time trials and heats) on May 3 is a "must see".

Totally agree about the 4 cylinders, maybe moved them to friday nights on the quarter mile.

Attended as a fan in the stands.

good racing action especially in the modified division.

also it was annouced that drivers unanimously voted down the stoppage at halfway.

Planning on returning.

Pittsburgh International Race Complex 24 Hours of Lemons Pitt Manuever.

Complex is A+, new, extremely clean and well taken care of. Sits in the western mountains of Pa.. Everyone there is very nice and accomdating.

First time racing in a Lemons race. They are two 8 hour Enduros, one Saturday and one Sunday. We used a five driver team, switching drivers every hour and a half or so, while refueling. MOST FUN I HAVE HAD RACING since Go Karts. What a blast, a lot more competitive than expected. We raced in sun, snow, sleet, rain, and wind, all at different times. Actually led for awhile until the dreaded black flag penalty box. Finished 7th out of 38 cars in our class and 43rd out of 110 cars overall. We raced a 1998 Saturn Sc2, same car we raced at Wall Stadium 4 cylinder division in at Turkey Derby with driver Dylan Flynn. With this racing you adopt a theme for our team, ours was a bit strange.  lol

Next race is New Jersey Motorsports Park June 10 weekend and I can't wait.  These races are all over the country. It's definately worth checking out. When you pay, you are in the pits and you will see the most interesting race stuff you will ever see.

Playing devils advocate here - the vote should have been a car owners vote since they are footing the bill as it was supposed to save on their equipment

New Egypt Speedway Saturday, photographer...The show started right on time and had a good flow throughout the night.A good field ofb 33 modifieds were on hand as well as a full field of crate sportsman. The week prior we had pretty strong winds and very cold temperatures, this night got chilly but no wind thankfully, the modified feature was very entertaining with many three wide battles which made for some good images, Jim Housworth looked like he was headed for his first modified win but last weeks winner Brandon Grosso past him I believe on the last lap for the victory.

The other divisions provided very good racing in there features also, the track got some dust in the mod feature but wasnt as bad as the prior week and I only see it getting better.I walked the track after the nights races to examine the surface and I have to say I liked what I seen, very smooth, still had plenty of bite.I also checked tires to see how they were wearing and I was also happy to see so many RR tires with plenty of tread left, mod winner Grosso has had the same RR tire on for two weeks now and after looking at it in VL Saturday night he still has some races left on it.Tires are an issue now but in a couple months they very well may dictate who races and who doesnt, but thats a whole nother story...

All in all it was a good night of racing ...going back ?..Yes April 23rd when the MASS 305 Sprints are in town, next Saturday the 16th will find me at Monster Jam with the Grandson, peace everyone...Harry Meeks Staff Photographer Area Auto Racing News.

One of our drivers made a pass in a corner where a yellow flag was displayed in that corner, they black flag you and you are sent to the penalty box where they chastise you, lol.

You would think they'd give a Turd one free "pass".
