Six season openers took place in the month of April during the ten years that Harmony Speedway was in operation.  Modified feature winners were: 1964, Al Tasnady; 1965, Will Cagle; 1966, Bob Pickell; 1967, Frankie Schneider; 1971, Will Cagle; 1972, Lee Hendrickson and Charlie Decker (twin features).

Any 3Widers in attendance for any of these events?

When I was a sophomore in HS my mechanical drawing teacher was a guy named Fred Jones who as it turned out used to crew for Peppy Fernandez. We used to BS about racing a lot and one day he told me about a time they were headed to Nazareth in Peppy's old bus that he used to tow with. They stopped and picked up a hitchhiker somewhere near the toll bridge and after riding a few miles, the guy looked around and saw Pep's name on the car. He then asked (no offense, just repeating a story, lol) "hey are you Mexican?"

Peppy stopped and threw him off the bus.
