With my job, I have to do a lot with scheduling, and over the past few days I've been dealing with 4/27, 4/28... 4/29... and keep thinking of cubic inches as in Chevy 427ci, Ford 428ci, and Ford 429ci.... Definitely some great #'s when it came to making power back in the day. (I'm not a Mopar guy, so the CI thing didn't kick in for me on 4/26, but if your a Hemi guy, I'll bet it did....) Just wondering if anyone else out there who deals with dates/scheduling has had "Cubic Inches" on the brain over the past few days! |

Nothing to do with dates, but when walking the dog, I tell my wife I'm taking the "short" block", or the "big block". She has no clue as to the alternate meaning of these phrases in my "hot rod" youth. Scott Ely |

427 did it for me ...My first Modified falcon with BigBlock..Motor was out of my buddy Chuckie DeBaros Camaro street killer...It ran 11.00 at strip and street legal in 1971/1972.. |

March has alot Chevrolet 305, 307, 327, Ford 302, 312 Chrysler 318, Buick 322 OLdsmobile 324 and probably a whole lot more. |

Helped my buddy assemble and recover a pool table in the New Brunswick area yesterday. The customer showed us his 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible with a 326 motor with "3" 2 barrel carbs. The car was perfect in every sense! So, let's give March 26th (as in 326) a shot out. Also, didn't Chevy have a 235 cu. in. "6" cylinder? If they did, February gets 1 "motor". I guess you 3Widers put your minds to it, you could come up with alot more "cubic inch" dates that I could imagine. Scott Ely |
