INAUGURAL HIGH GEAR TOWING CRATE SELECT SERIES SATURDAY;
CONTINGENCY AWARDS GROWING IN LEAPS AND BOUNDS

Inclement weather has played havoc with the 2022 schedule in May, forcing the first event of the High Gear Towing Crate Select Series to be presented Saturday night. The ten race series continues to gain momentum as several drivers are expected to be in competition looking for the title and the $2,000 which goes with it. 

The overwhelming interest from several area companies has added greatly to the series as now, the top ten in points will be rewarded for their efforts with Oliver Communications generously adding to the prize fund joining title sponsor High Gear Towing. Precision Hydraulics, Mid State Communications, 12Z Racing, Lyons Construction, Wilson Power, Elite Auto, F & W Lettering, Vahlco Wheels, and Island Performance have also come on board with cash and product awards. 

While some awards will be added to the final points fund, several will be awarded to the competitors on a weekly basis. For example, the leader at the halfway point in the twenty lap feature will receive $25, the hard charger $50, finishers in positions 12 and 14 will earn an extra $25, 5th place finisher will receive five gallons of fuel, etc. A complete list of awards will be available to all of those who enter the series. 

Each event requires a $30 entry fee, and you must enter at least eight of the ten scheduled races to be eligible for season ending points awards. All drivers with a New Egypt Speedway license receive a free pit pass each week they are in competition. 

Red hot Brandon Grosso will lead a potent field of modifieds into battle as he looks to capture his fifth win of the young season. Looking to detour the Grosso Homes #32 from winning number five will be Cale Ross, Frank Cozze, Rick Laubach, David Van Horn, Danny Bouc, Lauden Reimert plus a host of others. 

Joining the Vahlco Wheels modifieds will be the Hamilton Auto Clinic/Racersguide Crates, the Freedom Firearms Unlimited Street Stocks, the Delaware Auto Exchange MASS 305 sprint cars, and the Rookies.

The night will also play host to our future baseball major leaguers as its Little League/Jeep Night #1. Half price general adult admission for all Jeep owners plus all little leaguers and coaches in uniform receive free admission. There will be a Jeep show and parade during intermission. Grandstand gates swing open at 4PM with warmups at 5PM and racing promptly at 6PM.
