Want to personally Thank Ed and Kevin for the Burgers & Sausage also to any one else that provided food.

Looked like everyone had a great time with the meet up.

From my experience, the best action of the night was watchin' Ed and Kevin on the grill!

Between Kevin cooking up the burgers with choice of cheese, sauteed mushrooms, onions.... all on a lightly toates roll, and Ed grillin' up his smoked sausage sandwiches, nobody left hungry!  Thanks also to Rich Dise (The Mini Shed) who brought the traditional Shoo Fly Pie to end on a sweet note.  I understand there were also a few beverages of choice on ice there as well....

Here's a few of us pre-race enjoying some food, a few racing stories, and eventually even a few marginally good jokes!

Thank you to all the guys in the picture above, and for those who stopped by to say hello on their way over to the ticket office.  Big Vault thanks to Ed for getting the ball rolling on this, and for Kevin, Rich and for all the guys who helped get everything set up, and then eventually got everything packed back up, all in time to get over to the track to watch some racing on Nostalgia Night at OCFS.

We found this shortly before going to track. Not sure what it is, somebody said a pedometer? I recall someone there wearing it earlier.

A great time spent with fellow 3Widers. Many thanks to Ed for getting the ball rolling a few months ago; to Kevin and Ed for the burgers and sausage sandwiches; to Rich for the best shoofly pie I've ever eaten; to all others who added to the food offerings. Conversation and discussion covered a range of racing topics, stories from the past several decades. I really enjoyed listening to Anthony's description of racing through the dogleg at Trenton. A personal thrill was hearing the big block modifieds on a big track for the first time in decades. Closed my eyes and I was back at Nazareth! Appreciated the modifieds that were painted/wrapped in tribute to Bobby Malzahn 99, Tighe Scott 28, Bill Willson 7, Gary Balough 73, and in particular the Jimmy Horton driven 71e tribute to Carl Van Horn. I believe that Carl gave Jimmy his first modified ride in the 71e during a four 25s night at Nazareth. Thanks to all the folks who displayed vintage race cars.

And this special gathering would not have been possible without the creation and ongoing operation of the 3Wides site by Joe Macfarlan. Thanks Joe, you deserve our appreciation and support.

ED, where and when should the next gathering be held? Would love for it to be at Harmony but . . . . those days are long gone.

I bought the 71e from Carl. The guts from the car I used but the car body was sent to the junkheap I still have the floor from that car.
