Top 2 photos are of the Tobias show car. I'm not positive but it's very possible that chassis became George Nesler's 2x with Sonny Strupp driving. That car later became the red 24 of Sonny Strupp.

I never saw that era Tobias frame come with a 4 link rear before unless the owner converted them as Johnny Leach and I did on the #99.

The reason I'm pretty sure that was Nesler's car was because my dad was switching over his coupe to coils on the rear with a 4 link. I believe he called Sonny to get the ok to come down and look at their car and get some ideas from it. They said while we were there that it was the Toby show car and I believe Doug was right, it was the winter before the '74 season.

3rd pic is Indy car action at Trenton in the dogleg - note the traffic signal hanging above the track used to visually assist the drivers in that area of the track.

Thanks, I was gonna ask what track, it looked to me like Trenton, but I've never seen the traffic light.

Tom Leeson #97 at Trenton - probably RoC event. Could be Bob Potter in the #11.

There's no info on the negatives, but it is from Trenton Speedway around 1972, but that's just a guess on the date.

I remember Toby having a display like that at Syracuse in 76/77 when we ran there...He was not real thrilled that we were fast in Burnett's stuff and had no display except my car on the track and we displayed it pretty good...Lol...

The pics appear to be a 1974 Tobias. My uncles #83 three window coupe was a 1974 and that was the chassis .
