I took the 292 car down to Springboro Ohio and had it on display at the Lee Izor Museum. It recieved many compliments and as always, was well recieved. Mr. Izor was a local racer and ran a auto repair shop in the Quaker community. He designed and manufactured a quick change rear-end  along with other auto parts. The small quaint village has Izor Days once a year in celebration of their local respected citizen. I know it isn't racing, but sometimes ya just gotta pay homage to those who were before you.

Wall as a Fan in the Stands $19.00 General Admission.  JJ Lane memorial for TQs. Limited Late Models, Fast Fours (50Lapper), Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Sportsman.

Liked - good finishes in the Fast Fours, Factory Stocks and TQs. The Fast Fours ran all 50 laps without a caution. 2 sperate packs of cars battling each other. Race came down to the end. TQ's also came down to the last lap. The number 99 in the Factory Stocks gave the others fits as we very diffucult to pass. As he faded slowly while leading several 2 and 3 wide battles took place. In the end as the 99 faded away John Carpenter grabbed the lead with several others on his bumper.

Dis Liked- 4 Late Models on hand. The race was over basically on the first lap when Howie Conk grabbed the lead from the front row from Ormsbee. Watching paint dry was more exciting as 3 cars spread out about 2-3 lengths between them. The 4th car was not competive.

Suggestion- Please drop the class or move them to last race of the evening.

Going back in a Month - Yes.

One other Note left 3/4 of the way in the Sportsman feature when a Red Flag was thrown for a car that hit the fence and dumped a ton of fluid on the track.

OCFS, crew pits.

Likes: Track is 100% better, it was dry and hot so there was some dust, but if it was a month ago, they would have shut down due to dust.  Racing is better, more side by side, but did get strung out. OCFS tends to get strung out and it's like watching practice.

It's gonna take time, but they need to get the crowds back there. I'm not sure why the crowds are so bad there. They get 120 cars minimum per night, sometimes as high as 160. If each car brought three or four family members and two or three fans, you would have 1200-1500 people alone, not including the Saturday night regulars. Saturday, the front stretch had maybe 350 fans and the drive in about 25% capacity.

Dislkes: It's 90 degrees. They call the Mod feature and follow up with an official harassing cars to get lined up.  Mods line up on pit road, they run the Street Stock 20 lapper than call a 15 minute intermission!  It was a godd half hour sitting in a car at 90 degrees! Oh well, we were enjoying a cold one at this time!

Going back next week, our driver (Stewie) needs to win to get into a former promoters "Chase" point system deal. Can you imagine going to a track once, win the feature, now you qualify for a $30,000 point championship and don't have to return til the "Chase" begins!!!

Sad to hear about the failing fan base at Middletown. I recall in the 70s the place was packed and the backstrech had all those cars parked on the tarriced grounds.  The hamburg shack in the infield by 3&4 had the best burgers, loaded with green peppers & onions.

I think that's The Lone Ranger--was looking for Silver and Tonto in the background. I sincerely hope that OCFS makes it and that Larsen extends his involvement. For me, hard to get to a track every Saturday and when I do, Grandview, Bridgeport and even NES closer and more likely better (more competitive) racing. Still, will make every effort to head north for DIRT show, possibly championship night and ES 200.

Went to the Monday Pa. Speedweek show  Lincoln is my favorite track, perfect shape, size and banking for great action.  My wife and I sat in the stands, $25 a head admission.

Likes, it's Lincoln!  One division, 42 410 sprinters.  Kept the show moving, 10 minute intermission.  No down time working the track, Fred Putney gives you a good track no need to waste time fixing it.  Winner Brent Marks started 13th, caught and passed Peck, Macri and Larson to win.  Not much dust.

Dislikes 2 reds with 3 cars upside down before 1 lap completed.

Sure to go back before the year is out now that I live 45 minutes away.

Lincoln flips on the first lap had to be a first. Danny Dietrich flips in turns two and just about the same time his brother Billy flips in turn three. Wild

Kevin, think you got it backwards, Billy flipped in two, Danny flipped the #48 at the other end when the red flag came out.  I've been going to the races 57 years and never remember 2 brothers flipping on the same lap at different ends.

Actually separate crashes. Billy tangled with two cars in second turn and tipped over. While that was getting cleaned up the big screen was showing DD getting pushed back on his wheels, to most of us this cras was blocked by the scoreboard. He was able to replace both wings and rebound for a top ten, I really thought Billy could restart but he didn't.

Mahoning, 3rd of the HoF series races, as a fan.  Twin 45's for modifieds, + 4 more classes

Positives: Started on time, did their best to keep moving.  Couple of "oil/water downs" slowed things a little.  11 heats for the different classes & 6 features.  Got done by 10:30, not bad.  Food always good and pricing OK.  Got the lap counter repaired.  Also, they made an announcement about not smoking in the main grandstands.  That is always appreciated.

Car counts OK.  Would like to see a few more in each class, especially the Pro 4's.

Was a good night for me since my favorites won or finished 2nd.  That is not the norm for me.

I think the track is making some strides forward.  I hope more fans start coming & then keep improving.
