i don't know if it was gearing or header position , but that car would scream in the middle of everbody else !!!

remember him "getting into it " with TOMMIE ELLIOTT in the feature one night--first time i ever saw tommie go after somebody !!!

Regarding Charlie Decker #16, looks like his only feature win at Wall was on 7/11/1970.

First thing I think of when I see any big block coupe or sedan from that era at Wall stadium is how fuc*ing loud they were! And if you say that's what made them great, I know your next comment will be "What?" !  lol

the late bob emmons used to bitch and moan  about how loud the big blocks were !!

he was saying ,in the early  1970's, that  mufflers should be mandatory !!!

GREAT PHOTOS!!  Never knew Charlie Decker ran Wall.  I only saw him at Nazareth, maybe Windsor once or twice.  Photo #3 looks to be Don Stives in Johnny Luhrs' #29.  Photo #5 looks to be Artie Filburn in the Norica # 81.  Again. love these shots from (in my opinion) the good ole days.  Scott Ely

The Charlie Decker 16 Sedan looks like the same car that he ran at Bridgeport in the early seventies.
