Kevin Eryes made a follow up comment to his 7/13/22 "Wall Wednesdays" photo post for we 3Widers to get a handle on our scanners and post our old racing photos.  Well, here's my latest attempt.  All photos were given to me by Debbie Richford (daughter of Chic Ronan).  I believe all the photos were taken by Ace Lane except for the one of Lee Hendrickson, which was taken by Chic Ronan.  The 1st photo is that of a early 60s multi car wreck at Flemington.  The 2nd photo is of Lynn Gerber next to his M-2 limited sportsman at Windsor in the late 60s.  The 3rd photo is Lee Hendrickson and his Z-1 in the pits at Nazareth, I'm thinking late 60s.  The 4th photo is of the #308 "Newhart Radio & TV" special on its lid at an umknown track.  This photo could be late 50s/ early 60s.  The final photo is of Tex Enright on the job at (I'm guessing) Nazareth in the mid 60s. I may be, and probably are incorrect, on the info I've offered on these photos.  Corrections are welcomed.  Scott Ely

I'm not sure, but the 308 could be at Old Bridge with the stripes painted on the fence.

To Joe (3Wide's), Pee Wee Fan and A Stan Fan: I recognize that incident with the upside down No. 308 coupe, as my dad Earl Sr. and I were there to see it! It was indeed at Old Bridge Speedway, in the summer of 1963. As I recall, the driver of the dark blue No. 308 was Leon Rosenberg of Browns Mills, NJ that flipped on the backstretch in the Novice division feature. He also competed at Fort Dix (New Egypt) Speedway. As always, the photos and stories on 3Wide's bring back many special memories! Thanks for sharing them! The Leon Rosenberg photo looked familiar to me, it appears on page 5 of the first pictorial produced by Area Auto Racing News back in 1963.
