Went to the Tribute to 73 Thursday night at Orange County and had a good time of course. The ceremony during intermission never happened because they wanted to move the show along. I am so appreciative of Sammy Beavers for being the one past driver to make it there. Since the ceremony never happened I don't think he got the proper recognition for being there but this family thanks him from the bottom of our hearts.

Was hoping to see you guys Thursday. We stayed busy all night chasing a bad race car.  Did you drive the 73 that night in pace laps?  Could not see who it was from the infield. 

I wanted to find some time to walk through the pits to see some friends but the night moved pretty fast. That was me in the 73. First time I've driven it when I didn't get it ready. It ran perfectly which was nice. 

Sorry I didn't make it up to OCFS on Thursday Anthony.  The plan early in the day was to meet up with Kevin later in the afternoon to carpool up, but that thing called work got in the way as the day went on....  Glad you got some time behind the wheel of the #73. 

As for Sammy, in recent years, I've been fortunate to meet some of the greatest drivers that I once watched back in the 70's, sittin' up there under the Section 3 - 4 sign in the first turn bleachers at Flemington, and Sammy as a racer, and as a gentleman, is one of the finest.
