Went to Shellhammers last Wednesday as a paying spectator. Likes- $10. admission, fast paced show, 5 small car divisions. 600 micros really fly around this 1/8 mile track. Thought I'd check this track out after all the write ups on SJDR . Anybody know of any other short tracks with trees in the infield? Dislikes- Announcer was hard to hear, but....what? who said that? Maybe it's me. Not going back this year, but if you are in the area, stop in. |

Harris Speedway in Rutherfordton, NC. The rain began a little before hot laps. It didnt let up and management finally admitted defeat an hour later and pulled the plug. You can get there in under 90 minutes from my house. The storms were so bad it took 2 hours to get home. It was fun hanging out and hurrying up and waiting but the ride home was dreadful. |

Took a motorcycle ride to south jersey motor sports park. Watched formula regional and formula four cars. Drivers came from other country's to compete. Walked through the garages, talked to crew men working to get ready for their event. There were also vintage sports cars competeing. Very interesting and fun time. |
