Pretty wild how much is visible inside Buck's car. Really sat upright. No window netting since he was in the center I guess.

Jamie Tomaino in the 56. I want to say this was Jamie's first year in the Mighty Modifieds.

Kevin, Couple of questions if you know related to the photos.

1) Why and when was the car number changed to 27? I only remember the 12 and then the X2 when Jack moved up to the modifieds.

2) In the bottom photo with Jamie who was in the 66 at that time?

Thanks

I'm with you. I don't recall the 27 on the Buck car.

66 is Tommy Elliott I believe.

Spoke with Brian Buck and he said the car was the 27 in 1974 when Joe Severage drove it for them. They were new with the car so they had Joe drive.  Joe than went into the West Park Auto 7 and won the 1975 Modifed championship and Jack Buck won the 75 Sportsman championship.  Both in Coupes.

Kev: thanks for the info re: Bucks coupe. Probably the last coupe bodied cars to win an owners championship at Wall. Love the last picture, all 3 have Big Blocks!! Which sedan won the last championship ?Thinking Dick Barney's big red #14 may have been the last sedan at Wall to win the championship around 1970 ish with Richie Massing? Or maybe Chas Kremer.

Thanks for the info on the Buck #27 question.  Pretty neat that Joe and Jack both won championships in Coupes the same year.
