I don't think that Mike checks out the board here, but maybe somebody on his crew/in his circles does and if so, I wanted to pass on my congratulations to Mike on a great modified feature win at Bridgeport on Saturday night. 

Mike started up front, and while the scoring may show that he led every lap, at some point Davey Sammons and Tommy Beamer pulled up next to him and then some, but in the end, it was Mike Franz driving the familiar red and black #2 to a very popular feature event win. 

A racer who always has sharp looking cars, and is there every week (in fact, Mike has a tradition of always being the first car out on the track for warm ups) it was Mike's first modified feature event win ever.  As he said in Victory Lane, "I've won tons and tons of heats and consi's, I've been close in features, but never got'em...  This is amazing."

Congratulations to Mike Franz on becoming a modified feature even winner.

I'm at Bridgeport almost every time that they run the Modifieds and Mike Franz is there almost all of those times. Alot of the time I root for the underdog, I crossed my fingers that there wouldn't be a caution near the end of the race, Billy Pauch Jr had a problem near the end of the race and did the right thing by pulling off the track. I think you may be seeing more off this because they replaced the redraw with handicapping the first four or five cars that finish in the heat which puts the top running cars further to the rear in the feature. The win by Mike was a very popular win with the fans.
