Any weekend racing plans - watching/attending/participating?

I see a few guys are headed to Grandview, and Kevin's headed to Fonda to help Stew get the win over Sheppard!

Let us know if you've got "racing" plans in your weekend.

Truck race on FS1 tonight if the Phils have a big enough lead against the Marlins (and, in any event, after the ball game).

Lake View Speedway in SC with the Carolina Sprint Tour. Its about 150 miles away and maybe 30 minutes of that is interstate. Good track, cool promoter, great fans. But my God that ride sucks. Lake View promoter Scott Tripp is originally a modified guy from Upstate NY.

Washington Crossing Truck and Tractor Show.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Always some former/current drivers and fans there.  Saw a 1960's sprint car body and parts there today!

While I would have loved to go to Grandview I will be staying closer to home and covering the action at New Egypt, the MASS 305 sprints will be paying tribute to Fred Bitner with lots of extra  cash on the line. All NES support divisions will crown there champions.I will also catch some action on Flo, close the pool and do some yard work.

Heading to Bristol for the CUP race. This will be my first time for the night race. Went to Bristol back when the World Of Outlaws ran on the dirt.

I never ever wear ear plugs at a racetrack, but wear ear plugs. We went to the night race last year and my hearing was a bit off until Monday after the race. Going home that evening everything sounded like I had mud in my ears. Possibly the loudest race I ever sat thru. It isnt the same as the Outlaws show there. It's much louder for much much longer.

I always remember walking out of the track and walking with 100,000 other people. There's basically no car movement until the stadium unloads.  Kind of wierd and very calm. Most people I was ever around at one time. Strange memory.
