While sitting around recovering from knee replacement surgery, I thought I'd post a few of my Mom's racing photos.  Photo #1 is Pete Corey at Langhorne, 1968.  2nd photo is of Vic Gilbert waiting to sign into the pits at East Windsor, 1973.  According to my Mom's note on the back of the 3rd photo, its of Jim Smith's # 3x at Langhorne, 1969.  Cool lookin'coupe in my opinion. The 4th photo, a favorite of mine, is of my Mom wearing her "Moscheras 107/ S-1" shirt that she made herself.  Augie was driving Pappy Smith's 107 modified while Jackie was driving his own S-1 novice in 1965, the year of this photo.  My Mom, Ruth Ely, took the 1st 3 photos, while I took the one of Mom in her Moschera shirt.  I own these photos.  Scott Ely

Wouldn't it be great if once again as we traveled to a race , that just one more time we could see an open trailer with the massive tire rack across the front ; to me it was always an indication that we were getting close to our favorite track ! Really miss those days !  Rob Johnson

Scott: nice photos, thanks for posting! Rob: Sat aft we would always see Newt Hartmann on Rte 202 on way to Flemington. We would pass him , toot the horn and give him a thumbs up. He always smiled and waved back. Sun on way to Nazareth in mid 70's we would see either Johnny Harroll or Rick Thum on I78 near Clinton and do likewise. Then by early 80's everybody went to enclosed trailers, but we would still wave to Brett Hearn or Carl Van Horn at the 519/US 22 circle in Alpha on way to Nazareth.
