I know that the major teams in all 3 Nascar levels get technical help from their respective manufacturers.  What I don't understand is whats the big deal of switching from Toyota to Chevy for Busch's truck team.  Correct me if I'm wrong but the only Busch would have to change would be the nose of the truck since, to my knowledge, all trucks run the Ilmorr engine.  I guess waht it comes down to is the amount of $$$$ is offered by Chevy.  I'd appreciate some imput on this from 3Wide nation, especially a certain Stewie supporter.  Scott Ely

Since he's moving to Childress a chevy team it only makes sense

The manufacturers Don't generally allow their drivers to drive other brands

Stew's truck team was very excited switching to Toyota and alligning themselves with Kyle Busch's KBM and Toyota engines which were dominating. At the same time, NASCAR announced the Illmor engine mandate which took a lot of advantage away from the Toyota culminating the 2020 pandemic year of no practice, this really set them behind big time.

Like guys have said, manufactuers dictate who runs what and how much support the teams get. Stew's team was at the bottom of the totem pole, but now move up a level as KBM exits. So it's a good thing for Halmar- Friesen.
