Mother Nature, has not exactly been friendly to andy race facility lately. Last weeks finale of Wall was postponed due to the remnants of Hurricane Ian.

Now, the weather for this coming weekend looks promising. Fans, will be glad to see their favorites for one last time until they see them again at the season ending Turkey Derby which always takes place in November.

For the time in three years, the WSS staff decided to put back the format of Turkey Derby for three days as it was in the past. The COVID-19 Pandemic, had forced the staff to postpone the 2020 Derby due to the rising cases of the deadly disease. March 2021, the Turkey Derby was held and, the crowd was light due to restrictions like physical distancing and face coverings.

Prior to that, the COVID vaccine had hit the country in December, and went by age groups such as elderly people. In 2021, the crowd slowly began to return to the facility and began to move on with their lives. In fact it indicated that they got vaccinated.

In Modified division, Andrew Krause setting his sights on a third consecutive crown with a healthy 60 point lead. "The Scisco Kid" Kyle Scisco won four times this year in the Ferarra Motorsports #31 and, hopefully try to search for a good finish or fifth win the double point finale. Blake Barney, sits in third with two wins in the famous Big Red #14. Tyler Truex winless in 2022 in fourth. Tommy Martino, having a remarkable year won his first win earlier in the year in fifth. Four time champion, Jimmy Blewett scored his 83rd overall win in his patriotic style #76 for the first time in three years. Blewett, won on two occasions in 2022 was winning the Jersey Shore 150 in the Tommy Baldwin #7NY and, the borrowed Chris Lane #24 while his #76 was waiting for a new engine.

Eddie McCarthy, sixth in points with one win. McCarthy in fact, had not one, two run ins with three time champion Steven Reed. The fight began in the 100 lap main event when, McCarthy was running strongly until, he begins to constantly assault Reed for a position. Several laps later, McCarthy loosens Reed and, passed cleanly however, Reed wasn't satisfied with the move. A lap or two later, Reed spins McCarthy and later, he tried to retaliate but, his car got damaged and, was out for the night. The next week, McCarthy had had enough so, he retaliated sending Reed to the fence. The race was halted due to the mayhem in the pits, Reed rushed to McCarthy's pit and threw punches. Next, one of McCarthy's crew members bodily took Reed to his pit. The track called the Wall Township Police about the situation. After it was settled, Reed and McCarthy had been disqualified due to their actions. Reed won opening night sits eighth in points.

Jarret DiGiantomasso, searching to win his second Sportsman win with a slim 6 points over Kevin Davidson, who won the divison three times and searching for his fourth. Neil Rutt III is third with two wins and, setting his sights on his first Sportsman crown. Rutt, won a division title in 2018 that was in the 4 Cylinders. Tyler Ferris, having a fantastic season on the high banks sitting in 4th. Johnathan Laureigh in fifth with two wins.

Balance of the divisions are also going into the double point finale!!!
