One of my historians recently sent me this picture of a well known track in these parts and it astounded me.  I could not imagine this picture being that track.  Figured that I would throw it up on the board and see if someone can identify this track.  The year is around 1957 because there is a 1957 Pontiac in the infield.  The two cars red #11 and yellow #62 are both supposedly Fonda cars, but it isn't Fonda.  The historian would  really appreciate anyone who may be able to identify the two drivers.  Picture from the Otto Graham collection.  I can't beleive that noone will be able to identify the track, that someone out there has to know.  I would not have guessed it.

Looking at the box seats down by the track it might have been onteora speedway in Olive Bridge N.Y. If you google the site there are pictures as it stands today.Went there last year to find the remains of the track.

I'am not sure of the track, but here is a photo of the car #11 taken at Middletown in the late 1950's or early 1960's.It's the Henry Caputo / Chris Drellos  owned car.

Victory Speedway, later OCFS. There used to be an inner track which I think may have been paved.

My first instinct was Middletown, but had to break out Ray Martin's book to be sure. There are several pics in it from the late 50's that confirm it to be Middletown. There was a 1/5 mile asphalt track in the infield.
