Couple of questions about New Egypt  last week.

1.  What would have happened if there was no final caution where Butler was put back to second?

Would he have taken the checkered flag and pulled into victory lane, only to be told he didn't win?

2.  Why was there a 2 hour break between the Crate B main and the 4cyl feature and another 2 hours between          the 4cyl. feature and the Mod feature?

Attended NES as a Fan in the stands this past weekend. Intermission was approximately 40 mintues between last flag to the drop of the green for the Modified Feature. Considering they did track prep and were interviewing drivers on the front strech it was less then 1hour. I was checking the time on my phone, also someone sitting right by me was doing the same.

The start time at 6pm I have bigger issues with because it started over a half hour later for time hot laps. All in all the show was not that bad. The surface was decent, the sail panels were gone and the racing action was good most of the night.

I plan to go back next season. Fuzzy Photo curiosity of Samsung ;>)

Also took a video of the Parade Lap and the first 2 min 32 seconds of the start of the race (Notice someone checking their watch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8-YKNSlXTM

I hope New Egypt keeps the sail panels on the modifieds.Nothing like going to a race where every thing looks the same. Go to a multi sprint car race 305, 358, 360, and 410's all look the same.   I liked when the 358's had a smaller top wing.  Late models are worse semi, 602, 604, limited and supers all look the same.  There needs to be something that look wise can separate the divisions.

Was at the NES 75 lapper, sat 3wider with Don Wolfe.  Although I was glad to see Danny Bouc finally get a 2022 win, I think Butler got screwed on the late restart deal.   If it was determined that he "went early", a yellow flag should have been thrown immediately.  Just an opinion but would a "Delaware Start" be a better alternative for restarts.  Scott Ely

I always liked the Danbury restart rule. Top 3 were single file, the rest of the field doubled up behind them. Maybe they should go back to the early 60's whereby the start/finish line was also the restart line! I also liked the Dorney Park rule. If you could get you car restarted after a pile up and drive aroynd to the frontstretch you got your spot back. Only the car that was determined to have caused the yellow or red went to the rear.

We had all kinds of problems with original start in the Carolina Sprint Tour. Our Race Director had enough of it and decided if the start was bad both drivers go back one row. No 2nd chances. Bad starts are rare ever since. Single file restart and pole man decides when to go. We never have a problem on restarts
