Went to the World Finals on Saturday night WoO Sprints, Late Models & Dirt Car modified race.

Likes: Big year end event like races I attend back in the day. Weather was probably the best compared to the previous times I've attended.

DisLikes: DUST. My seats where off turn 4 and made watchin horrible. Got out of seat early on and just went to the pits. I guess as I get older my patience for this stuff is minimal and in today's world of FLO and Youtube I can just kick back and watch on TV.  If the track promoter doesn't care about their customers and probaly won't until attendance goes in the tank. l have no intention of going to this again.

One thing I noticed, kicked back watching on Dirtvision(lol), was the access road to the track was always dusty. Here they are doing a great thing parading all the cars in front of the granstands but at the same time, covering them in dust. No dust in the race control booth I bet.  Like I've always said at Turkey Derby, open the booth windows, turn off the heat and let's race.  I'm sure the features will be run during daylight hours now!

I posted below about East Bay, but an update...

$17 admission for a Sr.   $9700 to win mod feature.    Weather perfect ( we are in South Florida after all)

600's had a lot of spins and tangles and they got spread out fairly quickly.I think the track was a little to big for them...not at all like Kutztown.

I really went to watch Buzzie race. Unfortunately, he got caught up in a 3rd lap tangle and was eliminated. David was also racing. Top 4-5 put on a good show in mod feature. Track was good. It got a little dusty. But, I was a Flemington regular, so this was child's play...

We didnt buy tickets this year. Too many consecutive years of dust Bowl conditions. I went Saturday evening to hang with friends after the racing ended. I sat between the track and hwy. 29 and could see almost half the track thru gaps in the billboards. Clouds of dust covering the grandstands. I was glad we didnt drop a couple hundred dollars on tickets. Probably wont go next year either even though its 45 minutes from home.

Went all 4 days. Sat on top behind starters stand. Dust wasn't that bad there. No worse than Flemington between 1 and 2. Felt sorry for the people in turn 4. Amazing racing and definitely going back.

Bridgeport Sunday,  Great track, no dust, early start, show moved along, good track crew got home to catch some of the Sunday nite NFL......saw many more exciting events than this one there, 35 admission was a little steep but every thing costs more for everybody these days, including race facilities, but all in all a good show. I love the place

As a paying customer at Bridgeport Sunday, I "second that emotion", raceasaurus. Couldn't have said it any better.
