I collected a lot of pictures of race cars over the years. Here's a couple of my favorites.

love the breather pipes.

Last photo the 16 super, I always cheered for that car. On the back it said "you laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same.

I don't recall who drove it. The whole operation was like a Johnny Cash one piece at a time goes racing. They had a big old red exfurniture delivery semi as a transporter. The ramps musta' been 16 feet long so the low slung modified could unload. These guys really wanted to race. And I respected and appricated their efforts.

Not sure who was driving the 16 in this pic, it had several drivers over the years.  The car was built and owned by Steve Miller, who has restored several classic Indy roadsters and therefore decided to use some retro touches on this very much up to date Super.  Steve has also restored or helped restore a few older Supermodifieds.  He is an amazing craftsman.

The #57 is Billy Mathews - Mel Stettler photo that has been cropped down by our internet friends.

(Now you guys know why I have to put the 3W and other markings throughout the images that I post here and on the main site.)

Any idea if the #44 is a Cozze car?  Kinda of looks like Cos lettering maybe.  Neat looking car but I don't ever remember seeing it before.

The 44 might be Snookie Vent from Delaware.

Maybe Chad Culver can chime in. Here's a picture from his museum. Looks like Snookie's. Either a number change or new owner with a new number.

From what I understand the 44 and 86 were sisters! Same type of chassis but differnt takes on the body. They were an RCE Chassis. Race Car Engineering was a brief partnership between Snookie Vent and Davey Jones. I believe only two cars were built!

I was careful when posting the picture. I would never post one of Mels without it being embedded. Maybe Ace, but not Mel, lol.
