Thank you for starting the New Year off with a visit to The Vault!  We hope you'll stop by often throughout 2023!

I only made it to Wall, New Egypt and Bridgeport in 2022, and since getting Flo Racing, it's easier to find reasons to skip the drive, and stay home and watch a race event from the sofa instead of from the stands, but I do plan on getting to a few different tracks this year.

How about you guys?  Where did you go in 2022, and do you plan on getting to more or less shows in 2023?  Let us know what your 2023 racing plans look like.

I hope all have a great 2023, and again, thanks for stopping by.

Last year started with the several vintage events in Daytona, then we had 6 dollar diesel and foul weather that pertty much shot the rest of the year. This year is starting off with no vintage events in Florida, and questions about how this year will play out. I'm set with a couple of cars at the ready, and no serious heath issues to mess with, and ready to throw a change of clothes into the toter and go somewhere! Antbody wanna tag along ?

Now that we live in central Pa. I did 5 shows at Williams Grove and 1 at Lincoln in 2022.  I hope to catch the Grove opener on a Sunday afternoon, the March WOO and modified shows at the Grove, then several more at Lincoln and Williams Grove.  Kutztown and Susky [can't call it BAPS] too.

You're right....  I forgot about getting to OCFS this year Ed.

When Kevin drives, I just shut my eyes and say a prayer until he says, "We're here!"

Happy New Year 3 Widers!

2022 was a light year for new tracks. Only 5 new tracks. The highlight was making the Chili Bowl. The cost to fly really skyrocketed so I decided to pass on some events one of which was the I-30 Short Track Nationals. That one burns me because I did not know until close to the event that they were shutting down.

Tulso Expo Raceway
Needmore Speedway
Gateway WWTR
Macon Speedway
IL State Fairgrounds

Sounther National for SMART Mods was great because I got to catch up with guys I grew up with at Wall! The laughs were better than the race.
Seeing a great field of Dirts Mods in my own backyard was awesome with STSS at Cherokee!
Seeing the Mods at North Wilksboro with a packed house was also great to see. I think last I saw the Mods there was 1984.
Did Austin F1 for two years in a row. I'm done with that one.
World Finals I can take or leave. I renew the tix each year because of the proximity to me.

2023
I had to sell my Chili Bowl tix due to work, but I will be renewing in hopes of 2024.

So far I have STSS at Lakeview in Feb, Coastal Plains in March, USAC in May at Bellville, KS along with a trip to IN to knock off IRP, Lincoln Park(that one burned me) and Paragon targeted.

Happy New Years everyone!

Went to Bridgeport, New Eygpt, Wall, and a one visit to OCFS in 2022. This year will probably be about the same. Maybe go to Grandview once this Season, have not been there in a while.

This year, most of the usual stuff with Stew except Super Dirt Week, skipped it this year and did not regret it.

Was definately down on the number of races, not sure why other than Flo filling in. Only hit a handful of shows in Upstate NY.  Nothing better than Flo!

This year gonna start out with Speed Weeks, Tuesday to Sunday, Volusia and maybe a night at New Smyrna.  Friday night truck race at Daytona.

Same as most years, STSS and Super Dirt and racing in four Lemons races starting at Pittsburgh in April and shooting for Watkins Glen in May, Thompson, and New Hampshire.

It is pretty funny how I've been to OCFS a hundred times, I drive Joe there twice and we got lost both times!  LOL.   We talk right past the exit!

Early season looking at Lakeview,SC STSS in Feb. and Goodyear All American,NC in March for 20K LMSC race. Will review schedules once all are released for new tracks I can drive to. Many new tracks available to get in tbe south. Really interested to drive up to PA for the Motorsports show to see the Billy Pauch tribute. Big fan of Billy and after reading "The Last Cowboy" makes me appreciate that I was able to see some of his wins in various car types he drove to victory.

Spent 2022 at Senoia (season pass). Dixie and Rome were closed due to Martha Swimms passing so the only other track I ventured to was Sugar Creek.

Took all the advice I read on here and just got subscription to Flo so I am excited about that. In 2023 looking forward to being a regular at Senoia, getting back to Dixie and hoping to venture to Bristol in the spring for the trucks on dirt.

We'll be starting the new racing season at New Smyrna and Volusia next month. Indy in May. Other than that, I have no plans set in stone. I "retired" from my flagging duties so I'll definitely be going to fewer races this year. It had just become a grind. It was an amicable split and I bet I flag for them once or twice when they race nearby.

I'd have to say seeing the mods at North Wilkesboro was a highlight for me in 2022. Getting back to Talladega was pretty cool too. It had been quite a few years. My wife has started a new venture so I'm afraid we may not have as much free time in 2023. I'd like to get her to Pocono and the Grove. Shes never been to either one. We'll see I guess.

Happy New Year to all !! My racing plans are ( God willing ) to get my car finished and be back in the driver seat for the first time after taking a year off from racing ( the year off lasted over 10 years lol). Was planning Orange County with my Big Block but unsure as I haven’t seen anything on the future of the track . Time will tell and unloading at any speedway will be a big win for me...

Happy New Year! Racing plans are basically the same as every year: go to as many races as possible. Indy 500 is planned. First 5 nights of Pennsylvania Speedweek again, plus High Limits race at Grandview. ARDC at Shellhammers sounds like something I don't want to miss. I was considering  trying for one race each month of the year like I tried in 2020, after getting one each in January and February for the first time ever. PPL Center would be January, but little interest in doing it, although an outside chance. Icebreaker at Lincoln in February is a two day show, already looking forward to that.

Make sure to watch most of the racing content on Flo. Even interviews of guys you never heard and slowly you become intereseted or maybe a fan.  Speedweeks, they feature diaries from a team and that is always real good. Last year was Devon Moran and it made me a fan of him.

Will do. Still getting the hang of it. FloRacing on the computer and FloSports on Roku have a little bit different set-up. Not sure all of the same content from FloRacing is available on FloSports (but I can hook the Chromebook to the TV if need be).

I did catch some of the midgets at Tulsa this weekend and watched a few interviews. I am sure they will ramp up once Speed Weeks in Florida kicks in.

Thanks again. Should have gotten this last year.

Lap top makes you watch ads. Ruku or fire stick don't. Phone is slimmed down but no ads. Setup your favorites as racing only otherwise they splash in lacrosse etc.  I found fire stick to be the best it allows you to watch multiple devices at one time and that's needed in the summer. Enjoy!

After some much needed suspension repair (new hip!) late last year, looking forward to an expanded season. Hoping for Hagerstown's Short Track Super Series race. Other than that the usual Georgetown, Delaware maybe Lincoln/Grove.

Last year we ran our teo crate sportsman at Bridgeport we will return to Bridgeport this year with a newer car . Had a lot of fun last year in my son's second year behind the wheel.  He had a few top 15 runs.  Just a little father and son thing on a budget - having fun.
