I'm not sure how many of you guys ever made it to Trenton, but here's one when scaled a little larger, reminds me of what it felt like to be sitting in the stands looking out over the frontstrech, and all the way to the houses behind the backstretch.

I was at this race. Dad and I sat in the covered stands towards turn one. We would see them coming down the front stretch, and would lose sight of them until they entered turn two. They were fast and great to watch.

Buzzie in a real mid engine car, unlike today's mid engine cars that are really in the rear.

That's Smith ave straight out. The Skidmore family house on the left. Long gone.  Our baseball field was right in front of their house in this view. Orban's family house on right. Still there.
Yeah I know it's meaningless........

One more useless information, that tree next to Orban's was our Saturday practice and qualifying tree.

Even this dirt guy, made it a point to see the mods at Trenton, and the mods at Langhorne before that.

For me, asphalt was fine for these big yearly events, but especially back then, I'd take a weekly dirt track show over a weekly asphalt show.  Now I just try to go where I think it'll be a well run show, dirt or apshalt!

Love this shot!  For me, Trenton was the perfect big paved speedway.  My Mom and I would sit in the covered grandstands when it was a mile oval.  You could see the whole track.  We moved to the open bleachers heading towards the 4th turn after the dog leg was installed.  View of the whole track was still pretty good from those open bleachers.  I can still hear Caruso, Hendrick, Bodine, Kelly, Flemke, among others, motoring down that long front straightaway!   Scott Ely

I never understood why NASCAR didn't build a "Trenton-like" track instead of the 1 1/2 mile cookie cutters. I really enjoyed going to Trenton with my dad. We sat in the covered grandstands for time trials and then had seats down toward turn four for the Sunday race.

The idea of banked on one end (turns 3-4) and flat on the other (turns 1-2) made for great racing (although I heard that drivers were not a fan of the layout).

The name on the blue coupe might be Dennis Giroux.  Maybe Gene Bergin in the #34?  I eemember the #09 was Brian Osgood, and of course that's Buzzie in the #00, and that's the very front few feet of Guy Chartrand's #sixty-nine 'Cuda just out of frame on the left.

Thanks for reminding us about the video that Mickey did on Trenton Speedway.  Friends of the Vault Jeff Hardifer, Indy Legs, I Lived in Trenton, and possibly a few others helped get some great info, photographs and video for Mickey to use for the raw materials.  Nice Job Mickey!
