I like those "Drop In" photos.

For those not familiar with Wall, the track is below the below the pits/below the stands (a true stadium feel) so when cars enter the track from the pits, there's a pretty steep drop on their way down to the track.

Like the looks of the #X9 Vega in the pits.

I'm going with 1978 TD.

The X9 was the first Troyer vega.

6- Mark Engle in a Troyer replica

14- Siscone. His first year in the Barnet car.

1- Bodine

135- Pete Fiandanca

6- Troyer coming on to the track.

18- Tom Baldwin. Just coming out of the pits is Dennis O'rouke

1- Charlie J

Although it's possible that Baldwin was in the 18, I'm pretty sure it was Greg Sacks driving. Great pictures Kevin, thanks for sharing! Brings back some great memories.

6 car of Troyer the engine was offset to left a lot an it leaned to the left.  If you don't think so look at the air cleaner.  BB power by BM.  Engle car is a Troyer car was durkin 12.  Mark's first car after that he built his own.

I believe the 18 was owned by Butch Miceika (think the spelling is correct) from Long Island.

That was probably 1976-7 yours and mine was 77 or 78.  Different front bumper on the 18.

LOL, I have the same scrap book, you can't peel the photos out of it!  Richie and Jeff Taylor 17 behind. Maybe Wally Weaver sedan also.   Sonny McCurdy 00 in second.

Bring more Frank!

Was the engine mounted at an angle or was the intake built with an angle?  I kind of thought the intake was angled so the carb. was level in the corners. Was never really sure. It was the only car I ever saw that had that.

The engine was mounted like that. ?  About the picture of Troyer can it be a different year than 78?  Look up on the hill no Richie truck like the other pictures. Troyer had some nice things in his pit if you know what I mean.

I always thought Troyer was trying to steal a page from the Supers and their offset motors.

Ok thanks, never really knew how they did that. I'm pretty sure that is 78. Might even be his last Pinto.

I had that problem too with a couple of my old "magnetic page" photo albums.  Try a hair dryer, not on high heat, on the back side of the page.  Then peel very carefully.

Yea, but Maynard was slowing down in 79 and it was the last year he ran his own 6. At that point he was so busy building cars, he ran the same 6 for a few years just, different paint schemes. I remember him showing me that 6 in the back of his old Troyer shop by the lake in 1980 and saying it was a few years old. The car was last run at Pocono in 79 and was pretty worn, especially to Maynards standards. He finished second to Richie in 79.  He ran the Soucie 17 in 80.
