Does the Gypsie still exist?  I remember seeing it run at Flemington after it left Paul Deasey and it was all chopped up, no fenders, windows cut down, etc.

I took a ride one day up to Lowden's with 3wide to drop off the engine for the 292 and the 2nd 707 sedan was there. It had an independent torsion bar front end and I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly but it may have had an independent rear as well. The workmanship was top notch in it...I think Mr Wolfe was responsible for the fabrication part of it and Deasey did the engines and mechanical work. For the time it was built it was outstanding, but I don't think it ever saw the track. Not sure what happened to it after that or where it went tho....

Thank you for all of the information about the 707 Gypsy sedan.

The last time I remember seeing it was at Flemington back in the early 70's with one of the 7's blocked off as it ran re numbered at Lnghorne several years before.

I also noticed the picture under the current new section "Vintage Modifieds" listed in the Asphalt section. The photo was provided by "spy pics" and that car with the square roll cage sure looks like the old Gypsy did back in  the day with the engine setback. Any additonal imformation about the car in this picture? Can anyone verify where this car is?

The picture above (rusty sedan body) was taken in 2011.  The car is no longer where the picture was taken, and I have no idea where the car is now.
