Yes.. when jay finished the car, his first one, his head was near the top of roof and cage ..I think tech made him do that for safety?? He wanted to keep the car low but just a little too low... |

Thanks for the trip down memory lane Lenny. I always thought Fran Callary's #104 was a sharp looking car. And speaking of sharp looking cars, Ken Johnson's #64 were always immaculate.

Quick note about Jay Atens car with cage out of the roof...He let me drive it at Flem in a heat race one nite before mine was done (I was in a depressed state tring to finish mine, no money.) Started last in a 9 or 10 car sportsman heat..I just avoided all the wrecks around and in front of me and survived, got 6th...He originally thought he would be in the consi...I shocked him (and me too) HtH.. Jay is a great guy. we grew up racing Karts with each other too... |

I forgot to mention that was my first time in a Sportsman/Modified car type and first at Flemington and first time on dirt other than my old go kart on a dirt track where I lived...HtH |
