Dutch Hoag did win in 1967 but he was driving the orange #18 coupe. He won the next year in the blue and gold #7.

Thanks Larry.. I was probably there for both wins..I was a Tas fan back then and I was not happy.. I remember that...Racing today needs a track like Langhorne in the northeast..Even some nascar stuff would be good racing on that type track..HtH

All the pictures of mid-sixties paved Langhorne modifieds have those treaded Firestones. I wonder if that was a rule.

This may be the 2nd hot rod that Buzzie brought north.  I believe the 1st "00" to come north is the first picture listed in the 3Wide's "Forever Young" photos, Nazareth section.   Scott Ely

Buzzie first came north in 1966, raced the white 00 in the Rich Young photo. That year at Harmony I purchased a color photo of that car. Wish I still had it!

Buzzie started 18th on this day. I see Wild Bill Slater on the inside of the row behind Buzzie starting 19th and finishing 41st. Gil Hearne supposedly started behind Buzzie in 20th and finished 14th, 5 laps down. Anyone recognize the car Gil's driving? It doesn't look familiar.

After looking at my 1967 Langhorne program starting lineup i see where Gil Hearne started 29th in a car #28.The car was renumbered #28 from #18.In the entry list the car #18 was a 1936 Chevy owned by Jim Fodor. In the entry list Jim Fodor also had a car #13 driven by Bill Greco, but i don't see where Greco made the race.

The only info I have is from the Ultimate Racing History site that says Gil started 20th and finished 14th in a '36 Chevy. No owner or car number listed. Looking at the car with the red stripe down the center of the roof, it reminds me of Chuck Boos' car. Wasn't his car painted like that?

Looks like body filler and flat black primer paint, possibly a repair from an accident? This was prob the last race of the year, as Buzzie's cars were always immaculate.
