Great photos of one of the very best.  Kenny definitely was worth the price of admission no matter where he ran!  I never forget the first time I saw Kenny at Bridgeport.  I recall he was the only guy running up right against the fence in the corners.  A guy near me yelled out "Kenny Brightballs!"  Very appropriate, I thought.  Scpott Ely

Question re the blue #19 coach in the composite photo: What year(s) did Kenny race this car? Was it a modified or a limited sportsman?

I believe 1970. That was a modified.

Many thanks for the clarification, John. I have a picture (from the Jeff Sandt collection) of Kenny posed with this car in the pits at Harmony. I've learned (thanks to legwork by Rick Shive) that Kenny did not get to actually race that day at Harmony as the rains came and washed out the program. My Harmony race records show that the scheduled modified races of March 22 and March 29 in 1970 were rained out. Perhaps it was one of these shows when the picture was taken.

One of the greatest " natural talents " in the history of modified stock car racing, along with Al Tasnady, Jackie McLaughlin, Billy Pauch...simply born to race IMO...
