We have been working on having a Christmas Party for the students of Matheny. We have missed three straight years at the school in December due to covid. The plan is to have an outdoor BBQ at the Matheny School & Hospital on Saturday July 8th from 1 - 3pm . Everyone is invited, but please RSVP so we have a head count for food and drinks. We miss seeing all our friends at Matheny, so the Party will serve multiple purposes. First and foremost is seeing the students, and secondly, Santa will be there and will receive the gift wish list from each student. This will help us get the wish lists much earlier than November, in preperation for the actual Matheny Christmas Party being (hopefully) held on December 16th, 2023. There are no gifts or donations required for the July party, but would love to see all our friends and great supporters at this event. Kevin- I'm looking forward to the picnic and am definitely attending. I would also like to help out before, during and /or after the picnic. Given the past several years regarding no Christmas Party, the picnic is, in my opinion, a great idea as people can have their space and still show the "Matheny" kids that they are loved and are in the hearts of racers, race fans, and even those folks who think making a bunch of left turns is dumb.
