Great photos! The Peaks Garage # 235 has Tommie Green behind the wheel.  I believe this hot rod was a limited sportsman powered by a Chevy 6 cylinder. It competed against Ford flat head V-8s.  Scott Ely

First photo is Banjo Matthews and car owner Mel Joseph of Delaware after winning the 1955 Modified race at the Daytona Bearch course. The 1940 Ford coupe was powered by a Lincoln motor with 4 carbs. Banjo qualified 4th out of 79 cars and took the win on Feb 26, 1955
