Top picture is Tony Ciccone's 51 car with a Springsteel Fabrication body.
The 11 is probably Jim Hoffman, X3 Jim Henderson, 2 Kevin Eyers.

Great photos, as usual!  Two (2) of my all time favorite hot rods were the Piscopo 39s and the Ferrante X3s.  I loved them because they had very simple, clean paint scemes with each having a distinctive style of number.  Its funny that these particular cars made such an impression on me as I wasn't a big Tasnady fan nor did I get to see the X3 run much as Saturdays were usually spent at Flemington, rather than Wall.  And of course, you've got a great shot of that guy Mr. Eyres, who always "tried harder".     Scott Ely

I think that's Charlie J in the X3. Sharp looking Flemke car.

Not sure if it's accurate but on the back of the picture of the #X3 it says Jim Hendrickson 11/81,

I agree on it being one great looking racecar. Blue and white when done right, and with nice understated lettering... you just can't go wrong.

I also like Kevin's #Avis2 from this year.  Looks like a nice blend of grays on the bottom of the car leading up to the red.  Very sharp.

Question for Kevin - Is the front bumper in its planned position to keep you from going under a car in case of contact, or is it pushed up a little higher than usual in this shot?  Looks to me like maybe it saw some action prior to the picture being taken?  The picture is from 11/86 (37 years ago), but I bet you'll remember if there is a story there....

Nah, damaged. At Wall you go through some bumpers.

X-3 photo is 1981 Turkey Derby . Charlie J. drove the car because Jim Hendrickson had retired (kind of).  They had some new car problems in the heat and started in the back of a tough consi and did not qualify.  On the same day Tom Baldwin drove the Jarzombeck 1 and basically caused the Vinnie Green wreck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYC78cNrKUo   Probably the worst wreck ever at Wall and in Modified racing.
