Sitting on my back deck Friday night in NC watching the All Star Sprints on Flo and I can see this is a disaster waiting to happen. Sure enough, it happened.

Basically, the wall ends in turn 4 and then begins roughly half way down the front straight. At that point there stands an orange cone in front of what looks to be a ramp where the wall starts. Well in the main a Sprint Car clips it with the right rear and is launched into one heck of a ride!! How can All Star Officials and drivers not see this or worse yet accept it??

Sprint Car Council? Safety? I call bs. Until drivers take it serious, how can the rest of us?

Totally agree. The drivers are the ones who race these tracks. The sanctioning bodies, drivers and councils need to stand up.

It's pretty bad when a regular like you or I can just look at something at a race track and say "that's not safe"!

Race cars always finds the bad at a race track.  A lot of tracks I go to I purposely set myself up behind a pole or don't get myself in an unsafe situation that I have to be watching every second of a race.

The first time I went to 311 here in NC to watch the super late models from the infield, I found myself standing behind a light pole . You could almost sit on the inside guard rail if you wanted to. It was a fast race track with good racing. I don't think they a currently open

I remember standing between turn 3 and four at Williams Grove with my foot on the guard rail and wings going by my nose.

Also standing in the pits(which were in the infield) at Penn National and no guard rails!

Nazareth was sketchy like that too. Saw quite a few close calls in the pits/infield there as well.

Your comments got me wondering about that place so I looked up their Fasebook page. Last month the promoter made a post saying he wants to book a race this year after not running at all in 2022. He's a total wack, job. Lost most of his staff, fans and competitors after he went off the rails and began posting a bunch of racist junk on the tracks home page at the height of Bubba Mania around 2020 or 2021. He was radioactive and no one wanted anything to do with him. In his recent comments he says he wants nothing to do with sprint cars because they whine too much. Only classes with a starter and a reverse gear are welcome. Well, that's one more track I don't need to visit again
