I know this has been discussed before but I wanted to mention again:

Was at Mahoning Sunday.  Racing was fine (another victory for Big Money Matt) and food is always good there.  My pet peve was the length of the intermission.  The heats rolled along pretty good.  Even had a consi for the modifieds and then the "futures" feature.  Then came intermission.  They ran the "juice box" division and then had the re-draw.  When that was finished, they should have started the features because everyone had plenty of time to hit the consessions/bathrooms/etc.  They didn't.  They drug that part out, a long time.  Way too, long.

It's about an hour & 10 minute drive for us.  We could have been home around 7 (or a little after) but ended up getting home well after 8PM.  Not sure what promoters have in mind when the slow the process of a well moving show.

THere is a pitch clock in use now to speed up MLB games.  Maybe we need a pitch clock for race track intermissions AND consider a rule for same driver/car spinout/incidents.  One driver was part of 6 or 6 incidents during the 150 lap race.

Lindy basically had a "pitch clock" at Reading.  When the lights all were out you had better be ready.

Concession sales at intermission is where the majority of short tracks make their money in order to stay in business. I do agree that 1:10 is a bit long. I have no problem with tracks taking between 30 and 45 min for intermission.

That shi+ is needed. 20 minutes maybe 25 max. I mean from the last car off the track to the green flag!
