Based on the photographer info (and from help from Larry Jendras Jr), this one is from a track in DE/MD area:
I don't have any additional information on this one, but looking at some of these pictures from back in the day, I sometimes think the safest place to sit while at the races was behind the wheel! Hopefully all were ok in the above. |

Thanks to Phil Davis for identifying this photo. The driver is Howard Davis and the track was Delmar Raceway ( the original track on Rt. 54). This took place on Aug 16, 1951. The story in the Denton Md. paper said he went thru the 4th turn fence and clipped a light pole before coming to a stop. |
