Thanks for posting Jack - I have to admit that I had to check your math as I can't believe that was 44 years ago, but it was... Not sure if it happens with others out there but whenever I have to remember something from the past, I always way underestimate how long it's actually been.... For example, I'll think of something, and in my head I think it's only been about 10 years ago, and then I take the time to figure it out and it's more like 20 or 25. My basic rule now is whenever I think of something from the years ago, I come up with an initial # and then add at least a decade or two! |

I recall that Les Katona was a frequent winner of the "right turn" races. Come to think of it, Les was a frequent winner when you made left turns at Flemington. Scott Ely |
