My fatner never talked about it much when he was alive. but when he did you could feel the emotion in this very strong mans voice. sad to say we dont have alot of our WWII vets left. if you have time take your kids to your local vfw,american legion or amvets and listen to thier stories and most of all to give thanks. i still say they were so much stronger then todays generation. i am sure alot of our drivers and crew have served i know budd olson did. please as always RAISE A GLASS FOR THOSE WHO CANT

Truly, they were The Greatest Generation.  The generations following them need to be forever thankful.

Watch Saving Private Ryan and think about the fear when the ramp dropped on the landing craft, or Band Of Brothers when it was time to jump out of the C-47.  Then they came home after the war and built the country to the best in the world.  Truely The Greatest Generation that will never be seen again.

I wish this generation would be held to the level of hero worship that we hold sport figures and movie and recording stars in this country .  We need to remember that these men were still kids themselves when they went to war. There are not enough words to express their amount of pure bravery that these men showed. The word Hero just doesn't seem enough . Bless them all.

dn you said it so perfect, thank you....Young people today take everything for granted..Its terrible.. They have no idea what it has taken to make this country as great as it is.. Hope todays issues all get fixed and back to greatness...Thanks to all who served..HtH
