Bryce Smith in the Quality Drywall 7$.  Bryce came close to winning the second of the twin 20's leading most of the run. Bryce is son to Bobby Smith whose sister Janet is married to Dave Witte.  Dave was on hand helping out the effort.

We have seen Frank at a few events as we travel around this year.  Seems that he cannot shake the monkey off of his back.  I believe he got caught up in the big crash for the modifieds during the feature.

The Xcel drivers meet at the trailer to pick their starting positions.  Great community of racers.

Korey led much of the first feature and while coming close, is still trying to win his first feature this year after redoing the car and going a different way with the setups.  So close - ended up losing to Tyler Bartik in what was paramount to a dead heat .033 at the line.

We were in our trailer getting the car ready when the modifieds had a big incident on the frontstretch.  The catch fence did its job, catching one of the modifieds that vaulted over the guardrail.  Thankfully Bridgeport has a good structure in place, If this had occurred at some of the other tracks we have been to over the years, the car might have gone further.  Some hard hits based on the cars we saw coming back on the hook but no injuries to our knowledge.

The Xcel cars looked really good on the speedway.  The shape, size, banking and design suited the cars well.  It is nice to race in Jersey for a change.  We are almost always heading out to PA and NY.  Sure wish we could get over to New Egypt some day.

Always love to see the Overhead door cars.  Like so many things that represent racing, it only seems right to see some of these long term teams in the pit area.

He fuc+ing hates it!  Especially to Matt Sheppard.  Glad I was'nt in the trailer that night. It's pretty funny when he's like that, we all hide and laugh at him. A beer or two usually calms it.  LOL

Mr. Eyres-  Knowing your relationship with Stewie, I'm guessing you could write a book about his life.  Of course you'd probably have to leave the country (not Canada) if you did!  But we all know, racing and emotion go hand and hand.  Whenever and whoever writes that book, it will be a great read.  I know I'll buy it!  Scott Ely
