Awesome flemington sprint car shots. Everybody had a different way to harness the wind.

K3  Les Katona one of racing good guys for sure . He was so helpful to me when I was building my car for Flemington . When my boys started racing quarter midgets he again was so supportive of them and always made a big deal when they won, they couldn't wait go tell him and show the trophies and give him a picture for the wall. And who didn't love the fry's at the flea market.  I think about him often.

Joe I assume the first picture car number 2 is Buck Buckley .It's also the only car with a nose wing. With all the side boards straight up must have been concentrating on forward bite.Without the alternating ,high low side boards side bite must not been an issue. Who's the driver in the bottom picture with the sedan.

The driver with the sedan is Lee McBride.  (It is #11, but the # is hidden in the picture.)

I wonder how many people know that Lee McBride Sr was a pretty good driver in his day. My parents were good friends with the family as well as Tommy Bradshall who was also a pretty fair driver himself both from Trenton.

third picture, Skats Anfuso owned Highway auto body #3. Not sure who the driver is. Check out the Mikey Mouse shirt on the person on the right on the other side of the fence.
