We received some great photos from Jim Hall of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club, that he had received from photographer Ralph Richards Jr.

I'm not very good at dating photos much past the 70's, but here are a few that at first glance I thought were from recent years, but thinking it through a little, some of these are probably 20 - 25 years old... Undecided

Pic 1 is from 1999. Ricky Elliot in the Sal DeBruno 0 and Bucky Kell in the Statewide 2. The dark clay and Hoosier tires are the dead giveaway for the year.

Pic 2 is from 1996. Billy Pauch in the MBF M1. Looks to be later in the season with the leaves turning colors, which this could possibly be from the night he scores his 500th win.

The other 2 pics I believe are from 2005. Tom Hager obviously along with Gary Hager 44, Kevin Hirthler 117, and honestly the DeBruno 0 was kind of a blur in the 2000s. Maybe Wade, maybe Pratt, maybe Hoffman.

I'd live to see more pics from the 90's. Those were my "golden years"

Cool pics and some good racing! Big Tom Hager in his Bicknell got his last win in this car (according to Tom it was win number 198) and the Hoosiers were run until 1997 and they switched to goodyear the net season...

Yes, They ran Good Year in 1998 when Norm Foss went for the tire deal and DIRT abondoned ship. However in 1999 under Bob Van Sciver, the track returned to DIRT and Hoosiers were run again for that year. It's been American Racers since, except for when they ran Friday nights in 2004 and 2005.

Ahh I forgot about going back to Hoosier those Goodyear’s were so bad I left and went to NES because of it. I sure do miss the 5/8 !! Thanks for jogging the old memories back into shape...

Towards the end of 1998 I think when the points ended, the track allowed the modifieds to use the CVRA stamped GoodYears which iirc gave us a smaller LR to create more stagger, and the RF was sized different. It woke the car up instantly! We chased the set up all season running those awful tires.
