https://www.nbcsports.com/nascar/news/kurt-busch-announces-retirement-from-nascar-competition Sad that he's not retiring at 100%, as he mentions that he is still recovering from the injuries received at Pocono in July 2022, and that there "are just too many obstacles for me to overcome and get back to 100 percent." I hope his health returns and that he can enjoy things in his retirement. |

Kurt is one of your examples of the racer you can dislike to the racer you can like because he had fallen on hard times in his career. I bet we see him racing some other stuff in the near future. |

Kurt and Kyle Busch were guest tv announcing together a couple of years ago-- they were great together-- very personable, knowledgeable and funny, too. blessings !! bill---------- |

Like or dislike him, I feel Nascar needs Kurt Busch type racers. Nothing against Mark Martin, but I think Nascar would be very, very boring if the starting grid was made up of 36 Mark Martins. Racing needs its bad guys, and when it was his turn, Kurt fit the role nicely. As an announcer, I like him. I think he'll excel in the booth. Like all racing fans, I have my favorites and, well you know, the other guys. Regardless of my feelings toward particular driver, I feel badly for those drivers who suffered injury or personal loss (family, financial). Scott Ely |
