I really enjoyed reviewing the Taylor twins photo section on 3Wide.  In that photo section are several pics of the Vic Gilbert '37 coupe numbered 147 or 47.  Before the Taylors were behind the wheel of the 147, it Augie Moschera as its driver in the early 60s at Wall, New Egypt, and I recall Old Bridge.  My mom was a friend of Augie and Virgina Moschera (wife) so I rooted for Augie and got to see this cool looking hot rod up close alot.
Seeing the photos of the '37 Chevy coupe inspired me to build a model of it. Attached are photos of the model and a  photo of Augie in victory in the 147 (photo by Ace Lane Sr., I own photo).  Obiviously, its not a Stew Stratton (may he rest in peace) build but I think the model represents the early/ mid 60s era of racing.  Scott Ely

Nice job Scott.  I'm well aware of what it takes to create one of these.  Collect parts, make them fit where they aren't supposed to, make the ones that don't exist and say OH DARN or @#^*%# when a final paint job fails and you have to strip a body and start over.  Been there, done that.
