.... I just finished watching the 3 day event on Flo. (I'm always about a week behind on watching stuff on Flo.... I always like having a little extra in the "Flo Bank", especially for rainy weekends like this one.... )

I'm not sure if there is a better form of racing out there than the USAC Midget series, and with 80+ cars signed in for the BC 39 event, held in the infield of The Indianpolis Speedway, there was no shortage of racing talent, both young and those not so young.

For anyone who knows me, they might think it's a surprise hearing me carry on about "Midget Racing" as admittedly, in years past, even though I respected drivers who competed in the midget division, I was always a modified fan first and everything else was somewhere way after that.  I never really paid attention to midget racing... not even the Chili Bowl or other high profile events.  Flo, and the way they present the show, has changed that.

For anyone who has Flo and is late watching stuff like me, I won't cover who won the BC39 on each of the 3 nights (don't want to spoil it), but I watched the full replay (including driver interviews, opening ceromonies, and victory lane), and I'll just say that I really like how the show is presented, and how fierce the competition is.  It is absolutely compelling and unpredictable.  I'm thinking about attending in person for at least some, if not all of the show next year.

It is a great event, and most important, is in the name "BC39" itself:  https://driven2savelives.org/bc-legacy-fund/

I watched each night live. Lots of intense racing every night! Laps 5 through 35 of the final night are 30 of the best laps of racing I've ever seen. If you haven't watched it, do yourself a favor and do so...I guarantee you'll enjoy it!

Have been to the last 3 years of the BC39 and there is no way that Flo is able to show the fantastic racing that goes on around the whole track.  Best racing event I've seen each year.

You'll have a great time. We raced the QM on a section of BC39 and the employees there are the nicest, most helpful people I've ever encountered at a race track. Good luck!

I have a different description.  I think his move was that of a driver that wanted to win, and knew he had to do a little more than what he had done in the laps before if he was going to have any chance of gettin the win.  I haven't seen how he described it on TMez TV yet, and you never know with him.

All I'll say is that there were 80+ drivers there, and anybody that was going to have any shot at winning had to be willing to do what he did.

There are drivers... and there are racers... and then there are some that get to the line, and go on to get the win, and then there are some that go a little past it.  I guess I've always been a fan of those, even though the night doesn't always end well.....

A bad comparison to T Mez is Charlie Jarzombeck.  Not sure why I just thought of that, but Charlie drove so hard every lap and often crashed trying to win.  wierd thought!

What did you think of Taylor Reimer's weekend? I've been watching her since I got my Flo subscription, and I've never seen her be more competitive/aggressive than at this event.

Taylor was probably the most consistant driver all year. Not a lot in the win column, but always a quiet top 5. She was really good towards the end of the year. Jade is always fast but gets herself into trouble sometimes. In the Xtreme Midgets final race, she caused a pretty big wreck on lap 1 and was barely lucky to get out of it and went on to win the championship. I really enjoy watching them race.
